Diocesan Museum, Sulmona

The Former Convent of Santa Chiara Civic Diocesan Museums is located in Sulmona in Piazza Garibaldi, near the medieval aqueduct. The museum is hosted by the former convent of Santa Chiara, which was founded around 1270. Here you can find the Diocesan Museum of Sacred Art, the Municipal Picture Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art and the Diocesan Library. In the exhibition halls there are splendid works of the XII-XVII century.

The cost of the ticket is € 3. Admission is free for children under 12, disabled, conscript soldiers and people over 65. The museum is open every day: 9.00-13.00, 15.30-19.30. For information and reservations, call +39 0864 212 962.
