Silvi pine grove

The Silvi pine grove, along with the far longer pine grove in Pineto, is located on Teramo coast between the Cerrano stream (Silvi) and Cerrano Tower (Pineto), in the Tower of Cerrano Marine Protected Area.

In addition to cute small birds such as blue tit, great tit, short-toed tree creeper and robin, this green area hosts the squirrel. Planted by the State Forestry Corps in ‘70s, the Silvi pinewood is a shady and fresh place for bathers in hot summer days.

The outcropping rocks in the sea opposite the pinewood represent the only rocky habitat in the Marine Protected Area, attracting there fish shoals and eventually dolphins chasing them.
