The Mediterranean Botanical Garden is located at the extreme end of Lungomare Cristoforo Colombo in San Salvo Marina. About 8 hectares wide, it is a part of the San Salvo Marina coastal biotope and site of community importance of Marina di Vasto.
The garden preserves the dune habitat and the wet environments of the stream Buonanotte mouth and some ponds in the back-dune strip, so important for migratory birds, amphibians and reptiles such as the European pond turtle. So, it hosts typical plants of dune, back dune and maquis shrubland.
The admission is free, while a 4 euro/person fee is required for guided tours. For info and booking: +39 349 6146658.
