Trabocchi Coast

The Trabocchi Coast was named from the trabocco, the ancient fishing machine that features the coast of Chieti from Ortona to San Salvo. The breathtaking beauty of this part of the Abruzzo coast, with its heterogeneous environments, its precious flora and fauna, has brought to the institution of the National Park of the Teatina Coast, still to be implemented.

The municipalities that make up this valuable mosaic of sandy and shallow shores or high and rocky coast are: Ortona, San Vito Chietino, Rocca San Giovanni, Fossacesia, Torino di Sangro, Casalbordino, Vasto and San Salvo.
