Sinizzo Lake

The Sinizzo lake is located in the municipality of San Demetrio ne’ Vestini, in the province of L’Aquila, not far from the caves of Stiffe. It is a small lake created by two springs of potable water. It has a circular shape. It is considered the “sea of L’Aquila” for its bathing. The woody banks are topped by a high rocky peak. In the transparent waters of the lake there are numerous species of fish and even turtles, probably released by irresponsible owners in there.
